   You might have noticed the infestation of crickets.    BookBabes: Burn It All Out—06/30/2011

   What sort of BookBabes would we be without the amazingly talented and wildly redheaded Jocelynn Drake? (You know what they say about redheads…) Burn the Night is carrying on with the intense, evocative story that has helped make Jocelynn an NYT bestseller, and I’m pretty gleeful to have an excerpt to share today. Lay back, dig your heels in (don’t bother thinking of England—it won’t help), and brace yourself for one hell of a ride.

    WTB srs caracter only PST—06/23/2011

    Between the glowing reviews that love my premise and the terrible reviews that hate romance (um… wat?), I can usually find a happy middle ground. The age-old adage is true: You can’t please everyone all the time. I’m well aware that there are readers who will find my style, tone, methods or subject matter not to their taste (or, in the case of one history-minded individual, grossly inappropriate), and I accept this.

    It’s been awfully quiet on this journal of late, hasn’t it? There’s a reason for that. I’m not sure what, exactly, to blame it on (I mean, come on, take your pick: monkey-headed aliens, tribbles, summoned to London to serve as a double-0 agent for Queen and country, radioactivity, etc.) but there is a reason.
